    Hofbeschreibung:

    The mini-farm is situated in an idyllic landscape. You can go hiking, cycling, and mountain biking (bicycles are provided) directly from the front door. The property is approximately 1000 m². Many things grow here naturally and abundantly: plums, apples, pears, cherries, mirabelle plums, peaches, mulberries, strawberries, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, red currants, walnuts, and hazelnuts. Vegetables include beans, carrots, zucchini, beets, radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes, and numerous herbs. There are also countless wild herbs and many flowers. Naturally, everything is organic. Chickens, geese, and cats are also present. No commercial interests, for private use only. For your request, please manifest your intended duration of stay together with the date.     Häusliche Situation:

    Two individuals share a large house with separate living areas. We often have visitors, mostly international and younger guests. There are friendly and discreet neighbors in the house next door. I offer temporary to international with bed&breakfast for students. In return, you help me out in your free time. The train station is 3 km away, and Linz is 30 km away.

    Was sind die allgemeinen und grundsätzlichen Ziele Ihrer Arbeit?

    Personal commitment (behavioral change) is key, rather than technological solutions. The goal is to produce and repair as much as possible oneself, as well as to preserve fruits, vegetables, and herbs for the winter months. Above all, it's about utilizing the abundance of wild herbs that are freely available.

    Welche speziellen Fertigkeiten können WWOOFerInnen bei uns erlernen?

    Interested beginners can learn how to make the most of what they grow in a hobby garden. This includes cultivating, propagating, and processing plants, as well as practicing natural pest control (though it doesn't always work!) and making fertilizer. I can show you how to use the produce available in your garden or meadow to create delicious meals, and more.

    Kurze Beschreibung der Aufgabenbereiche/Einsatzgebiete der WWOOFerInnen:

    Harvesting and processing fruits and vegetables. Also, bringing my overgrown garden somewhat under control. Thinning trees, chopping wood, weeding, creating beds, rainwater management, feeding animals, small repairs and renovations to maintain the chicken coop, house, and garden, DIY projects in many areas and with different materials, both fine and rough work. House-sitting for a few days at a time.

    Unterbringung:

    Comfortable and quiet single rooms with a desk and wardrobe. Fiber optic internet. Shared bathroom and toilet. All furniture is solid wood. No IKEA! !
